In March 2012, BtoB held their Premium Launching Show with two title tracks, "Imagine" (a ballad track) and "Insane" (a dance track). BtoB's debut songs as rookies are exceptional double title compositions that are represented as connected stories of different genres that showcases each of their own charms which shows BtoB's strategy in presenting their various musical capabilities fully.

The first title track, “Insane”, has been produced by Seo Jae Woo, who has composed songs for other Cube artists such as 4minute and Beast.

“Imagine,” the second track, is a ballad.

On March 20, 2012, a teaser for title track "Insane" was released on YouTube. On the same day, the group also released "Imagine", the second title track after "Insane", and on March 22, 2012, the group made their live performance debut on M! Countdown'.

On May 23, 2012, a special edition of the album title "Born To Beat (Asia Special Edition) was released , with an addition of two tracks which includes a new single titled "Irresistible Lips" and another track from their previous single titled "Father" and on the same day the music video for the track "Irresistible Lips" was also released.

2^nd Mini Album: Press Play

A teaser image confirming the release was revealed by Cube Entertainment's Twitter account in September 4, 2012 along with the release date of the EP, September 12, the title track of the EP, titled "Wow" and the EP's name, titled Press Play. The image has a pop art theme and also shows the person on the photo making the word 'WOW' with ther hands and mouth. It was later revealed that the person on the photo is the member Sungjae. In September 5, an audio teaser of the song "Wow" was released on BtoB's YouTube account. One day later, on September 6, Cube revealed teaser photos of the group together, as well solo shots of every member.In September 7, a teaser from the music video of "Wow" was released. In September 12, the EP and music video of "Wow" were released digitally simultaneously.

3^rd Mini Album: Thriller

On August 23, 2013, Cube Entertainment released concept pictures for "When I Was Your Man", a pre-release track from the album before the official release with a special music video for the song released a few days later. On September 4, 2013, BtoB uploaded the music video of Thriller on their official YouTube channel and on the same day they performed Thriller and When I Was Your Man on MBC's Show Champion prior to the release date of the EP.

The EP features a total of 6 tracks with 5 tracks co-written by the members of BtoB themselves and the third track of the EP titled 왜이래 (Why) was composed and co-written by label mate Beast's Lee Gi-kwang.

The EP opens with the first track When I Was Your Man, a classy and soft, laid back track. The song is about a man looking back at a past relationship, and reflecting how different he is now. The second track of the album, Thriller, a dynamic song with a story of a fallen knight coming back to life to finish their mission of saving their princess. It is a song that focuses on that rush they get as they rise from the grave. The third track Why is an R&B influenced track that tells the story of a man who has realized that his lover has no feelings left for him. The fourth track Catch Me is a song that is focused on the feelings one experiences that moment he falls in love. The fifth track Like a Crystal, is a song largely accompanied by an acoustic guitar and the last track Star is a ballad song that samples the bars of the famous nursery rhyme, “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

4^th Mini Album: Beep Beep (뛰뛰빵빵)

On February 8, 2014, Cube Entertainment uploaded individual teaser photos of BtoB's members and the tracklist for their new album. On February 12, 2014, 3 video teasers were uploaded on consecutive days with a snippet of the title track, Beep Beep On February 16, 2014, the music video for "Beep Beep" was released and on February 17, the EP was officially released.

The EP features a total of 5 tracks with 2 tracks co-produced by the members of BtoB themselves. The EP opens with Beep Beep, a song that boasts a balanced mix of hip-hop, pop, and a hint of R&B. The second track, Is This The End is a ballad track and the third track, Hello is a classic up-beat track. It has a backbeat that is slightly rock influenced. The fourth track, Hello Mello is a mid-tempo track that is heavy on the slow rap and the fifth track, Never Ending (Melody) is a ballad dedicated to the group’s fans (BtoB's fan club is known as "Melody").
