1st Album: SuperJunior05 (TWINS)
Release Date:
2005.12.05
Label: SM Entertainment,
Avex Taiwan
After
achieving critically acclaimed success from their debut performance of the
single "Twins (Knock Out)," which was performed on SBS's Popular
Songs on November 6, 2005 for the first time, the group was scheduled to
release an official single of the song. However, a digital single of
"Twins (Knock Out)" was released instead with three more brand new
singles available for download on November 8, 2005.
The
full album, which included all of the singles in the "Twins (Knock
Out)" digital release and several other new tracks, was released on
December 5, 2005 in South Korea.
On
February 12, 2006, Super Junior moved on to their second promotional single for
the album "Miracle". The performance version of the single differs
from the one released in the album, as the performance single has an added
dance break and vocal bridge in the song. In contrast to the edgy,
rock-influenced feel of "Twins (Knock Out)", "Miracle" was
a light bubblegum pop love song with light-hearted dance choreography. It was
the second and last song to be promoted from their studio album.
Only
twelve of the current thirteen members of Super Junior are featured in this
album as Kyuhyun was not added to the group until six months after this album's
release.

1st Single
Album: U
Release Date: 2006.06.07
Label: SM Entertainment
"U"
is a song by South Korean pop group Super Junior, and is the group's follow-up
release to their debut album Twins. The single topped CD sales charts
during the first several weeks after its release on June 7, 2006. "U"
peaked at #1 on the monthly MIAK K-pop album charts and sold 91,416 copies by
2008. The song won a total of five music recognitions, being Super Junior's
most successful single in the music charts until the release of "Sorry,
Sorry" in March 2009. Promotional performances for the title song,
"U", did not complete until September 2006. The last general
performance for the song was in August 2007 in Tokyo, Japan.
Since
the Korean release of "U" in 2006, there has been two more releases
of "U" in two different languages, Mandarin and Japanese. The
Mandarin version of the singles title song "U" was released in a
special Taiwan edition on June 15, 2007. On July 9, 2008, "U / Twins"
was released in Japan, which included a Japanese version of "U" in
the limited edition release.
Super
Junior-M, Super Junior's Mandopop subgroup, also released a cover of
"U" on April 8, 2008, marking it the second Mandarin version and
third remake of "U". In this version, however, the lyrics were
changed completely from the first Mandarin version. Also, new incorporations of
a new jazz swing style with new acoustic guitar arrangements and an added
hip-hop dance bridge and violin bridge were added to make the song suitable for
the Chinese language while keeping close to the original Korean pop vibe.

Single: Rokkugo
Release Date: 2007.02.23
Label: SM Entertainment, Avex Asia
Rokkugo,
(로꾸거)
is "gokkuro" (거꾸로) spelled backwards, a term
meaning "backwards" or "opposite." The single is promoted
as a trot single, although heavy modern K-pop influences can be heard in each
track, such as rap and stylized modern K-pop rhythms. The music video features
fellow label mate Isak as a comedic rabbit who was playing Whack A Mole with
the members as the targets. Although trot music are usually more accepted by
the older audience because of its older style of K-pop, Super Junior-T's
"Rokuko" has been well-accepted by young audiences as each track in
the single are bending more towards a new style of trot to attract the
attention of the young audience, hoping to make traditional trot music more
accepting in mainstream music.
Three
more EPs were released after the single was released in Taiwan. A music video
and making video of "Rokkugo" is included in the package.

[Super Junior-M] 1st
Album: Me
Release Date: 2008.04.30
Label: SM Entertainment, Avex Taiwan
Super
Junior-M is Super Junior's third official sub-unit after Super Junior-K.R.Y and
Super Junior-T, and debuted in China on April 8, 2008 with the release of their
first promotional single, "U", a Mandarin remake of Super Junior's
2006 best-selling Korean single, "U." The album was recorded in Korea
and took over three months to complete. Henry, a new addition to Super
Junior-M, contributed in the album with violin instrumentals while Zhou Mi,
also a new addition to the group, composed the lyrics of three tracks.
Unlike
the original version, the title song "U" involved new incorporations
of a new jazz swing style, with new acoustic guitar arrangements and an added
hip-hop dance bridge and violin bridge. Other remakes in the album, such as
"Miracle", "Full of Happiness", "Don't Don",
"Marry U" and "A Man In Love" are all previous hit singles
by Super Junior, and are re-arranged to sound more suitable for the Chinese
language, however nonetheless, keeping close to original K-pop vibe. "At
Least There's Still You" (至少還有你) is a remake of Sandy
Lam's 2000 hit single of the same name. The song is rearranged to a more
elegant and modern arrangement, with gentle harmonization that the original
single did not have. New tracks such as "Me", "Love Song",
"In my Arms", and "The Moment" showcase a variety of music
styles representing Super Junior-M's balance in pop music. "Me" is
exhilarating modern rock style dance music with refreshing rhythm and an
acoustic guitar accompaniment. It is also the album's second single. "Love
Song" is a medium tempo dance song with light-hearted lyrics and melodies.
"In my Arms" is a mellow R&B ballad with a powerful tempo drum
beat; however, it brightens the song with a dreamlike melody and chorus.
"The Moment" is a fast dance track with sensuous rap and splendid
string incorporation. The last track, "The One", is a composition
dedicated to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. The ballad incorporates a magnificent
and rich chorus behind the melody of a grand violin accompaniment.

Mini Album: Perfection
Release Date: 2011.03.03
Label: SM, Avex, UR
Perfection
is the second extended play and third overall release by Mandopop boy band
Super Junior-M. It was released in Taiwan on 25 February 2011 by Avex Taiwan,
to be followed by other Asian countries in March 2011. This is the group's

The
teaser photos of the group for the EP were released on Avex Taiwan's homepage
on 12 February 2011. The lead single and title track, "Perfection"

Taiwan on 14 February 2011. The music video teaser was unveiled on 14 February
2011 on SM's YouTube Channel, followed by the music video on 21 February 2011.
The
EP was repackaged on April 2011 with a new track and Korean versions of the

[Donghae &
Eunhyuk] 1st Digital Single: Oppa, Oppa
Release Date: 2011.12.16
Label: S.M. Entertainment, Avex Taiwan, KMP Holdings
The
single comprises two songs, the title track "Oppa, Oppa" and ballad
"First Love". "Oppa, Oppa", written and produced by
frequent collaborators Youngsky and Peter of Korean R&B/hip-hop group One
Way, is a retro-disco
track that features a "lively rhythm and beat in a retro dance
atmosphere" with lyrics implying their group's popularity. The song also
has a similar lyrical concept to the group's track with f(x), "Oops!",
from the repackaged album A-Cha.
It also contains an interpolation of the song "Funkytown" by Lipps
Inc. "First Love" is a two-minute piano ballad written by Donghae
which serves as a prelude to the title track.
The
song was first performed at group's Super Show 4 Seoul concert on 19 November
2011. Then, a month after the performance, SM Entertainment announced that both
Donghae and Eunhyuk will promote the song on music shows: Music Bank on 16
December, Music Core on 17 December and Inkigayo on 18
December.
